A striking, music-led website for a Ballymote studio bringing AI-assisted original tracks to a global audience.
Shane runs a mixing and mastering studio in Sligo. He had spent a long time searching for a way to put a digital catalogue of original music online, and had spoken to plenty of companies without finding the right fit. He came to me with a hand-drawn sketch and a clear idea of the music at the centre of it.
The site needed to do two things at once. It had to let visitors sample the tracks properly, and it had to give them a simple way to enquire about buying the music they liked. All of this for a global audience, from a studio in Ballymote, in the northwest of Ireland.
This was a first website for the studio, and it needed to work hard from day one. As a website designer in Sligo, I built it to showcase the music, carry the brand, and give every visitor a clear path from listening to enquiry.

The heart of the site is the catalogue, where visitors can browse tracks by genre, play full samples through a built-in player, and work through the collection at their own pace.
Before the main page loads, a short animated clip of the red lady plays out, setting the tone the moment a visitor opens the website, with an option to skip, if needed.
I built the look around the red lady, carried through the artwork, the typography, and the site's dark, cinematic palette, resulting in a distinct brand identity.
Every visitor gets a clear path from listening to buying. A contact form lets them get in touch about any track that catches them, turning a browse into a genuine enquiry.
